F5-LTM-Simplified Configuration

Node : A Node is an IP address. Example: 192.168.10.10




Pool Member : A Pool Member is an IP Address + Port. Example: 192.168.10.10:80



Pool : A Pool is a collection of Pool Members.



Virtual Server : A virtual server is a traffic-management object on the BIG-IP system that is represented by an IP address and a service. 

  1. Configure Node.
  2. Map Node to the Pool with the application Port.Move the Health Monitor “gateway_icmp” from Available to Active.
  3. Configure Virtual Server and Map the Pool.
  4. You are done with the configuration.
